Dining in style is easy when log pieces are the focus of the dining room. With its rugged appearance, sturdy construction and classic style, log furniture is the logical choice for cabin decor. Whether the dining room gets used on special occasions or every day, having pieces like the Aspen Mountain Log Bench Chair creates an enjoyable, rustic atmosphere. Available in three lengths, the Aspen Mountain bench provides enough seating for daily dining and large gatherings, thereby adding functionality as well as beauty to any dining area.
Hand-peeled aspen logs combine with a flat seat in the Aspen Mountain piece, creating a unique combination of bench and chair. A triple coat of clear polyurethane protects the seat. The rest of the piece is finished with a hand-rubbed beeswax and linseed oil mix to freshen and accentuate the natural beauty of the wood. Upgrading to “extra gnarly” aspen turns the piece into a work of art by bringing out even more character and charm. Since rustic decor is often used in rooms with wood floors, optional felt feet may be added to prevent scuffing and scraping when the bench is moved. Traditional mortise and tenon joins are used to build the bench, then reinforced with glue and screws to ensure stability. The hearty nature of aspen wood means that the Aspen Mountain bench can be a fixture of cabin decor through many family meals and special gatherings.

Log furniture is a great choice when aiming for a classic cabin look, but in order to put together an inviting layout, the pieces must be as enjoyable to use as they are to look at.

True cabin living isn’t complete without a place for visiting friends to spend the night. Though you could easily add a cot or camp bed to your home away from home, log furniture offers something that improves the look of your interior décor while functioning as extra sleeping space at the same time.
Day beds are a particularly attractive way to fulfill both of these requirements.

Home is all about dependable comfort, a kind of welcome you don't find anywhere else. If there is one thing you can count on to last, its solid wood furniture. The most comfortable furniture in every room was made to be lived on, rather than looked at. I've found the best investment and timeless charm comes from log furniture. The living on it just adds to its character, and it works in just about every decorating style. For me, rustic decor makes perfect sense and log furniture is part of that look, no matter where you live or play.
