Hand-peeled cedar logs make up the frame of this desk, while a solid piece of cedar provides a sturdy desk top. Two drawers and one file drawer are situated to the right side for ease of access to office supplies and important files. With this storage available, there’s no need to have a separate file cabinet. Desks that see a lot of work may benefit from a “liquid glass” application on the desktop. This provides a wet, glossy look as well as added protection for the wood.
Whether left in its natural state or finished with clear glaze, the Cedar Lake desk enhances home offices with a touch of rustic décor. Optional honey-colored finish gives the whole piece a warmer look. Echoes of nature are inherent in the wood, with knots, beetle tracks, gnarls, and other enhancements visible in the design.
