Home is all about dependable comfort, a kind of welcome you don't find anywhere else. If there is one thing you can count on to last, its solid wood furniture. The most comfortable furniture in every room was made to be lived on, rather than looked at. I've found the best investment and timeless charm comes from log furniture. The living on it just adds to its character, and it works in just about every decorating style. For me, rustic decor makes perfect sense and log furniture is part of that look, no matter where you live or play.

I have a log sofa table that I have repurposed as a convenient “catch-all” for traffic that comes into our house. Our mud room is not very big but collects a lot of “stuff” when the family comes into the house. Both of the drawers have organizers with specific spots for each family member. Above the rustic log tabletop I hung a hand draw knifed log peg rack for coats and other hanging paraphernalia. Log furniture rocks for keeping the family organized and looking good doing it!!
